Exploring for fossils amongst the rocks on a beach is fun!

Once you know what to look for, you will be surprised at how much evidence remains of the animals and plants that lived in the warm seas that covered East Sussex millions of years ago. Grab your wellies and head to the beach to learn how cliffs are made and why this is helpful for finding and dating fossils. You’ll also discover the importance of understanding tide times, and the vital role of maintaining our seas and marine life.
